Be Green Academy
The Be Green Academy is an initiative addressed to young people who have a positive attitude to stay in Nature.
Children will have the opportunity to get a real casual connection with the mountain. They will gain skills so natural for human in the past and abilities that each experienced mountaineer must be mastered.
All participants in Be Green Academy will receive basic knowledge and skills to deal with unusual situations that could arise following an accident, natural disaster or other emergency situation.
Youth, which is part of Be Green Academy, will acquire basic life skills among Nature.
And more:
-Knowledge how to orientate – to navigate with a compass, by the stars, and using the moon.
-Learn how to choose a site and build a camp.
-Find appropriate solutions and techniques for extraction of fire.
-Gaining knowledge on how to take precautions.
-See how the food is prepared outdoors – in Nature.
…And all of this will not be just an oppressive lecture but entertaining plot with role-playing games – This is not only training but a full-blooded experience!
There’s more:
-Introducing to tying different kinds of knots;
-Getting know Archery and Sarbacane shooting;
-Learning to recognize and rely trails;
…And when they leave, they’ll have main, basic skills to survival.
This is much more than the ability to handle with a calculator, remote or smartphone…
Our ambition is children who were part of Be Green Academy not only to know but to know how.

Location
Be Green Academy is held in Mountain Lake Hotel – next to Smolyan Lakes and also in Holiday Village Sabazius – next to cult site Belintash.
Be Green Academy is a lifetime experience, which lasts three days and two nights on full board.
There are twenty training astronomical hours.
Two nights in deluxe rooms.
Two dinners, two breakfasts, and two lunches.
Medical personnel.
Two trainers.
Depending on your choice of destination part of The Academy are:
Visit the Planetarium in Smolyan.
Visit the Astronomical Observatory peak. Rozhen – talk of Astrophysicist is included too.
Or hike to: “Karadjov Stone” and one of the largest Christian centers in Bulgaria – Krastova Gora.
Be Green Academy is most suitable for ages 14 to 18. Participants in one group must not exceed 18 people.
